Rail Tours Australia was established in 2009 to offer people with an interest in trains and railway journeys, the chance to tour and experience some of Australia's great railway attractions from the past and also the present day.

The founder of Rail Tours Australia saw the demand and need for guided tours and railway experiences around the country where guests can enjoy world class train travel, heritage railway experiences and behind the scenes opportunities like no other.

 

Rail Tours Australia is based in Adelaide, South Australia, home to the National Railway Museum, Steamranger Railway, Pichi Richi Railway and other societies. We offer day tours in cars and coaches from Adelaide on a daily basis to many local attractions in the Adelaide region and also extended interstate tours to railway events and celebrations. In addition to this we also provide rail cruises within Australia focusing on different points of interest such as food and wine and general touring.

We have over 15 years experience within the tourism industry, and have been active members of many railway preservation groups for over 20 years.
